Corrections Policy
When we get something wrong, we correct it transparently and promptly. This policy explains how.
Last updated: 22 July 2026
Our commitment
English Vanguard is committed to accuracy. If we publish a factual error, we will correct it as soon as the error is confirmed. Corrections are not hidden: we note what was wrong, what is correct, and when the change was made.
What counts as a correction
- Incorrect names, dates, locations, or figures
- Material misquotes or misattributions
- Factual claims that we cannot substantiate after publication
- Significant context that was omitted and changes the meaning of a story
Minor typographical errors, spelling mistakes, and broken links may be fixed without a formal correction notice if they do not change the substance of the reporting.
Clarifications and updates
A clarification adds context without changing the core facts of a story. An update reflects new developments after publication. Both are labelled clearly so readers can see what has changed and when.
How to request a correction
Email newsroom@englishvanguard.co.uk or use our contact formand select "Correction request". Please include:
- The headline and URL of the article
- The date of publication
- What you believe is incorrect
- Supporting evidence or documentation, if available
Our process
- We review the request and assess whether a correction is warranted.
- We verify the correct information through original sources where possible.
- We update the article with a visible correction notice at the top or bottom of the story.
- If the error is significant, we may also note the correction on our homepage or social media channels.
Right of reply
Where our reporting contains criticism or allegations about identifiable individuals or organisations, we seek comment before publication where appropriate. If you believe you were not given a fair opportunity to respond, contact newsroom@englishvanguard.co.uk. See our full Editorial Standards.
